100 percent accountability.
It is all on us.
Everything.
Whatever is going good is your fault. Whatever is going bad is your fault.
The book Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy Seals Lead and Win is a great read.
But I can sum it up for you quickly…
You are responsible for everything around you. It is not anyone else’s fault.
I repeat it is not anyone else’s fault.
If you got stuck in traffic and were late for work? Well sorry, that is your fault for not giving yourself enough time for it.
You aren’t where you want to be in work or your personal life? You guessed it, your fault.
People have too much of “it’s not my fault” or “I can’t because of this.”
You see these are all limiting beliefs. I challenge you to think outside of the box. Think about it from a different angle. Take full responsibility for what happens.
We, at the time of this post operate 5 gyms. If for some reason we fail to deliver what we promised to a member, guess whose fault it is? Not the coach, not the facility, not the weather, or the taco Tuesday special. It is all mine. I take the full responsibility. Every single bit.
Now that is just an example, but you get the point.
If you are not where you want to be in your current health and fitness you need to look in the mirror.
No one is really making you not workout, no one is really keeping you from doing at least a 10 minute workout a day, no one is forcing wings and Bud Light down your throat. Own it. It is all on you.
You need to stop making excuses. You need to have extreme ownership over your body and your health.
“Work this, kids that.” It is really all rubbish that needs to be taken to the street to be tossed away.
There are people much busier, with much more problems, with bigger families, with more responsibility taking care of their fitness than YOU.
While you may be sitting there crying about “poor you” and why you can’t workout, someone else is going ALL IN and making it happen.
Make it Happen!
See you in class!
