Hello fellow Strong Together family members!!! We're writing to you today to talk about an issue that we don't think gets talked about enough. That issue is recognizing one's accomplishments.

One of the many many amazing things about Strong Together Fitness is that we find that athletes come in wanting to simply improve their overall health and improve their quality of life. However, we soon start to see that a lot of members begin to get hungry for more! That extra 5 lbs on the deadlift bar or the ever elusive first pull-up without bands. As time progresses many of us grow and find new goals outside the realm of general health that we want to achieve. This is amazing! If many of you look back on yourselves to when you first started, you wouldn't even believe you'd be where you are today!

This is all amazing, however its important not to get lost in the madness of achieving ones goals. What do we mean by this? Well frankly Even the coaches are guilty of this too often. So focused on achieving a specific goal that if we don't hit it we begin to get negative and end up missing out on all of the other great things we're doing! We all have those days where things don't go as planned and it just doesn't feel like a productive day. But guess what! You made it into the gym anyway! We've got news for you, that in itself is a huge accomplishment. Most of the world's population can't even do that! 

The point of this is, it's important to stay HUNGRY and always reach for new heights to take your fitness; however, its equally as important not to lose track of the little things you do that are amazing. Whether its an extra inch of mobility, not getting fatigued during the warmup, and yes even making it into the gym when you're tired and drained at the end of the night. Recognizing all these little things will not only keep you energized and driven, but also help you reach those other BIG GOALS we all have. Its always important to be hungry for more; but never let that hunger detract from recognizing your accomplishments. It's not being complacent - its being proud of the work you put in while recognizing you have more left to give. 

We're proud of every single one of you everyday you set foot in the gym, because just by setting foot in that gym you're making yourselves better.
